Truth Is

Welcome to post number one (1) of the Truth Revival blog.

I'm writing this blog primarily to reach a people that has lost its passion for truth and is now confronted by the inevitable consequences of moral relativity.

"So what!" you may say, "so is everyone else, what makes your blog so special ?"

Well nothing really I'm no expert, never blogged in my life till now. I just thought you might be interested in reading about my truth. After all, if my truth is the same as your truth we may become friends. On the other hand, if my truth is not the same as your truth then perhaps you might not want to read this blog at all, and well, you'll find another friend.

Wow, this truth thing really becomes a big deal when we are looking to make friends. It's also an important factor in relationships up to and beyond friendships. The way we all look at truth impacts our everyday lives. The pilot at the front of our jet better know the truth about where the landing strip is and exactly how high off the ground we are as we approach that line of trees. Yes, there are absolutes and I'm glad the pilot knows them !

Truth is defined in Webster's 1828 Dictionary as "that which conforms to fact or reality" In many circumstances we all share the same view of reality. While driving on the highway we can all see in our rear-view mirrors the approaching state police vehicle and we all adjust our speed accordingly. But can we all see the consequences of pursuing restrictions on free speech and banning of words or other forms of silencing dissent ? By the way that state police officer pulled you over for an illegal anti-Marxist bumper sticker, good thing you were not speeding ! Do we dare speak out against public policies that create an ever greater dependence on government bureaucrats ? Ask Joe the plumber.

Alexander Solzhenitsyn spent many years contemplating the truth from his cell in the Russian Gulag. His reality conformed to the fact that he was a prisoner. Imprisoned for the crime of literary treason, dissension, hate speech perhaps, or however the powers in power defined his crime. Does his reality have anything to do with ours? Is his truth the same as our truth ? Could we ever be friends with Alexander Solzhenitsyn?

Perhaps you may not want to be friends with a political prisoner but it's possible that you may want to explore the reality of truth and its implications. Friends are helpful when you are exploring, they may notice something that you have missed and if it conforms to reality then together you have found truth. Alexander was glad to have friends in prison !

Interesting first post. Not really threatening but questioning. It'll be interesting to see the path you take.
